PHOTO Lusk named 2023 Distinguished Citizen of the Year by Ada Town & Gown

The Ada Town & Gown Committee has named David Lusk as the 2023 Distinguished Citizen of the Year. The surprise announcement was February 2 in the Ada High School cafeteria, with faculty, staff, and all junior and senior high school students present. ONU prepares for enrollment cliff, is analyzing academic programs for viability

In early December 2023, Ohio Northern University held a Town Hall meeting with students to talk about preparing to cut faculty and staff jobs because of a looming “enrollment cliff” that is anticipated by colleges and universities.

Bulldog boys swim team 2-1 at quad meet

OTTAWA__The Ada High School swim teams competed in a four-team meet at the Putnam County YMCA on Thursday, February 1 to conclude their regular season.

The Bulldog boys team defeated Elida and McComb, but lost to Bluffton.

The Bulldog girls defeated McComb head-to-head, but lost to the Pirates and Elida.

UPDATED on February 1.

On 1-30-2024 at approximately 11:39 a.m. the Allen County Sheriff's Office received a complaint from a Columbus area car dealership regarding a 2016 Dodge Challenger that was stolen overnight from one of their lots. The vehicle in question was outfitted with tracking devices that showed it at the property of 525 S. Kemp Rd. Elida, Ohio 45806.

Stahler promoted to CAO at Quest Federal Credit Union.

KENTON__Krane Stahler of Kenton, Ohio has recently been promoted to the Chief Accounting Officer position of Quest Federal Credit Union. Krane began his career after graduating from Ohio Northern University in 2008 as a public accountant for an area audit and tax accounting firm and after five years in that role, started his Quest career in 2014.
