Bulldog boys basketball tames Wildcats

By Cort Reynolds

VANLUE__On February 24, the Ada High School boys basketball team dominated the middle periods to defeat winless Vanlue 61-46 in a non-league game and finish the regular season on a positive note.

The Bulldogs trailed 14-9 after the first period. But a 15-5 second stanza turned things around and gave Ada a 24-19 lead at halftime.

The purple and gold then seized control with a 21-11 third quarter run to build a 45-30 cushion heading to the final quarter.

The Bulldogs won the decisive middle quarters by a combined score of 36-16.

Ada ended its regular season 5-17 after the road victory, and won two of its last three games heading to the tournament.

Pediatrician, Caughman Health Center, Pediatric Associates of Northwest Ohio

As its name implies, seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a mood disturbance thought to be caused by the effect of shorter days and decreasing amounts of sunlight on the brain.

For most people who experience these “winter blues,” spring brings with it renewed life and increased optimism. However, some will have persistent symptoms that carry on long after the flowers have begun to bloom. Now is as good a time as any to check in on your loved ones and offer them support.
