The Beatitudes food pantry is providing a grab-and-go Christmas Dinner with ham and sweet potatoes on Tuesday, December 21 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. This is a carryout only opportunity. Please call 419-788-9459 to RSVP.
Beatitudes community center is located at 210 N. Main St. Ada. Director Deb Curlis notes that there will be some 85-100 meals prepared.
The center will then be closed December 22-27. It will reopen on Tuesday, December 28 and provide a New Year party bag that day. Then the center will be closed December 29-January 3.

The visiting Ada boys basketball team was outscored big in the middle periods and lost 75-37 at Bluffton in a Northwest Conference contest Friday night, December 17.
Ada trailed just 18-17 after a high-scoring opening period, but the Pirates broke the game open with a 28-point second quarter barrage. Trenton Donley poured in nine of his game-high 21 points in the second stanza. Bluffton won the middle quarters, 48-12.
The Bulldogs dropped to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the NWC with their third straight loss. Bluffton improved to 4-1 and 2-0 in NWC play with the victory.

On their home court, the Ada girls basketball team suffered through a long cold spell against local rival Bluffton and lost 42-22 in Northwest Conference play on Thursday, December 16.
The Lady Bulldogs scored the game's first basket, then went over 18 minutes without another field goal.
The Ada girls fell to 2-7 and 0-3 in NWC action with the defeat. The Lady Pirates improved to 5-3 and 1-1 in the NWC with the victory.
"We can't score," said Lady Bulldog head coach Morgan Bass. "If we could score it's a different scenario. When things aren't going our way, we crumble."
