After 43 years at Ada High School Mr. Lusk is graduating. Please come and wish him well in his new journey. You are invited if you knew him when he was young, were one of his students 43 years ago or now, or worked with him in the last 43 years.

Keep your eye on weekend weather

The US National Weather Service Wilmington OH has issued the following information for the period of December 23-24.

We are still expecting impactful weather to close out of the workweek into the holiday weekend, with a concerning signal for cold temperatures and strong wind to produce dangerous wind chills.

Recovered from illness, team returns to competition

LIMA--The Ada High School swim team finished a solid fourth at the nine-team Lima Senior Invitational behind some winning individual finishes Saturday, December 27.

“Saturday’s meet was definitely a learning experience,” said first-year Ada swim coach Ashley Robey. “We got a late start to the meet and ended up with only 10 minutes of warm up time instead of 20. Then there were issues with the starters and technical difficulties with the operating systems.

County Line Church creates winter VBS

County Line Church, 4227 N. Hardin Rd (County Line Road), has moved their VBS program to winter. A free Winter Bible School program will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting January 11 for six weeks (through February 15). 

The program is free and open to children 3 years old through 5th grade.

New pesticide applicator class; register by Jan. 5

HARDIN COUNTY–A class to help farmers prepare to become private pesticide applicators has been planned for January 19 at the Hardin County Extension office, 1021 West Lima Street, Kenton. In Ohio, pesticide applicators are required by law to have an Ohio Pesticide Applicators License to purchase and apply restricted-use chemicals.

These pesticides include but are not limited to herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. This class will begin at 12:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. There is a $30 registration fee which covers books for those enrolled.

Jeannie Blevins celebrates retirement

ONU Dining Services congratulated Jeannie Blevins on her retirement and 40 years of service to the university. A Facebook comment identified Blevins as being as "ONU iconic" as mascot Klondike.
