So you think you bake a pretty good pie? What's your secret? Is it the crust, or something else? Now's your chance to prove your baking skills.

Richland Manor, 7400Swaney Road, will hold its annual pie contest. The event is Monday, April 30. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and judging at 2 p.m.

The curtain goes up soon

It's rehearsal time for Ada first graders.The students are preparing for a first grade musical presentation in May. Two performances are planned. The first at 1:15 p.m. and the second at  at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 3, in the school auditorium.

Ada FFA invites high school males to "walk a mile in her shoes" May 15

The Ada High School Future Farmers of America will offer all males at the high school to walk a mile in "her shoes" in May as the FFA hopes to draw attention to issues of domestic and teen dating violence.

The community service project will take place on Tuesday, May 15, and is titled "walk-a-mile in her shoes." Any freshman through senior may participate.

During the event male students will have the opportunity to walk in high heels to bring awareness to Ada schools, about domestic violence. This day will also include speakers, food, and some fun activities. 

Blood donors

Ada High School sophomore Courtney Rudasill donates blood for the first time ever during an American Red Cross blood drive at AHS on April 25. Giving her moral support is Justice Cheney, sophomore, who eariler had also donated blood for the first time. The blood drive was sponsored by the student senate.

Ohio Northern University celebrates its 40th annual Honors Day program on Saturday, April 28, from 8:15 a.m. until 5 p.m.

This year’s Honors Day continues the rich tradition of ONU’s colleges and departments recognizing students and faculty members for scholarly achievement and service to the University community. More than 40 undergraduate academic departments and honor societies will present awards and induct new members.
