Bulldog football blanked by rival Pirates

The Ada High School football team was beaten soundly 48-0 by local rival Bluffton in their last Northwest Conference matchup to spoil Bulldog Homecoming at War Memorial Stadium Friday night, September 22.

The big-play Pirate offense scored two early touchdowns, and Bluffton was in control throughout.

Junior back Landen Worcester authored four TD runs and racked up 211 yards rushing to lead the potent Pirate ground attack.

Bluffton improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the NWC with the decisive win.

Ada fell to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the NWC after suffering their third consecutive defeat.

During the first half, hard-nosed Bulldog junior quarterback Levi Green was sidelined with a sprained right ankle and missed the rest of the game.

Bulldog girls soccer rallies to beat Rams

The Ada High School girls soccer team recorded one of the biggest regular season wins in program history Thursday night, September 21.

The visiting Bulldogs rallied from a 2-0 deficit to upset Upper Sandusky 4-2 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match.

With the signature victory, Ada’s overall record improved to 5-3-2 and 1-1-1 in NCOSA action.

The visiting Ada High School boys soccer team tied North Central Ohio Soccer Association foe Upper Sandusky 2-2 in the nightcap of a girls-boys doubleheader Thursday evening, September 21.

Ada ran its record to 2-4-4 overall and 0-0-3 in league play with their third straight NCOSA tie.

The Ada High School golf team finished ninth in the annual Northwest Conference championship tournament held Thursday, September 21, at the Delphos Country Club.

Delphos Jefferson won the tournament title with 348 strokes. Allen East tied Leipsic for second at 353, but AE won the overall NWC title due to their combined regular season crown (12-4) and championship meet showing.

Bulldog volleyball downed by streaking Bluffton

The Ada High School volleyball team lost a tough match in straight sets to red-hot visiting rival Bluffton in Northwest Conference action Thursday evening, September 21. 

The Pirates ran their win streak to 11 matches with a 25-18, 25-19, 25-16 victory. Bluffton improved to 13-2 overall and 3-0 in the NWC after the win.

The Bulldogs fell to 9-7 overall and 1-3 in the NWC with the defeat.
