Ada Schools parent-teacher conferences, Thanksgiving break

Parent-teacher conferences at the Ada Schools will be held during Thanksgiving week for grades K-12. Conferences for students in grades K to 5 will be student- led.  

To sign up for your conference time, click the link HERE.  

Parent teacher conferences are:

Monday, November 20 from 3:30-8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. 

There will be no school for students from Tuesday, November 21-Friday, November 24.

Fifteen minutes with Kyle Francis, Ada math teacher

Meet Kyle Francis, 6th Grade Math teacher, assistant football coach and 7th Grade Boys Basketball coach. This is Francis' first year teaching at Ada; he is also a volunteer firefighter. 

In this Bulldog staff spotlight, we get to know Francis a little bit better, thanks to a Q&A provided by the High School and Middle School office staff.

Q. What is the one thing you cannot resist?
A. Iced down Mountain Dew.

Q. What is your greatest fear?
A. Becoming complacent.

Q. Where is your favorite place to be?
A. On a snowmobile in upper Michigan.

COLUMBUS__The Ohio Northern women's bowling team finished 17th of 18 teams at the Ohio Bowling Conference 2 tournament at Palace Lanes on Saturday.

November 11 luncheon at Beatitudes

Organizers note they are "Thankful for our great community and our veterans."

ONU professor to present research on psychedelics and PTSD

Phillip Zoladz, Ph.D., Ohio Northern University professor of psychology, will present his research findings on psychedelics at a press conference to be held at the November 2023 Society for Neuroscience conference in Washington, D.C. His research explores the potential of psilocybin to enhance exposure therapy’s effectiveness in individuals suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Zoladz is one of several presenters the Society selected to introduce their intriguing and important findings to journalists.
