Apollo board of education meets July 22

The Apollo Career Center's next regular board of education meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. 

The meeting will be held in Apollo's Board room. The meeting agenda is HERE.

The 2024 Patrick Archer Memorial Softball Tournament and Fundraiser is scheduled for September 14, 2024.

Hardin County Dog Warden Cody Blair and Sheriff Keith Everhart invite you to "DOGGO DAY," Dog Adoption opportunity on July 20 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Hardin County Dog Warden's Office and Dog Kennel, 49 Jones Rd., Kenton. This pup and all the other dogs will be $30 including shots, microchip, spayed or neutered, tags adoption fee and a collar. Hot dogs and face painting, too!

Allen County OVI checkpoint on July 19

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that an OVI checkpoint will be held in Allen County on the evening of July 19. The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

Pie lovers invited to compete in 2nd annual Farmers & Merchants contest

The Ada Ohio Historical Society hopes you're hungry! The organization is hosting its 2nd annual pie eating contest at the 2024 Farmer's & Merchant's Picnic.

The contest will be held at 2:30 on Saturday August 10 at Ada War Memorial Park.

Village of Ada Pool to add security detail to Tuesday late swim

Due to recent incidents with unruly individuals during Tuesday eventing late night swims (8:00-10:00 p.m.) at the Village of Ada Pool, the village council approved a request to hire a police officer to provide assistance at the facility on those evenings.
