Village accepting swimming pool applications

Assistant manager, life guards, cashiers - accepted until April 21 - application attached to this story

The Village of Ada is accepting applications for summer positions at the Ada village pool, according to Angela Polachek of the village. Applications are accepted until April 21.

Here are positions open, and previous employees are welcome to apply:
• assistant manager
• lifeguards (certification as of opening day is required)
• cashiers

Recommended pay rates for 2021 season: 
• Assistant Manager: $12.60/hour
• Lifeguard: $10.75/hour -
   (Lifeguard certification required)
• Cashier: $8.85/hour

As we move into the early months of spring 2021, things look quite different than they had a year ago. 

The masking and social distancing has stuck around (and rightfully so), but we are moving forward with the goal of regaining that sense of normalcy that may mean something different for each one of us.

In the past few months, we have entered a new stage of this ever-changing and unprecedented pandemic with the introduction of vaccines authorized for emergency use.

Liberty Bank will shred your documents May 3-8

Helping you fight identity theft

During the week of Monday, May 3, through Saturday, May 8, Liberty National Bank, 118 S. Main St., Ada, will have available locked containers for persons to drop off unwanted paperwork to be destroyed.

This is a free service to the community to help fight the growing concern of identity theft.

The containers will be available during office hours, Monday through Saturday. Please limit the shred to five boxes, no larger than 20-inches wide by 10-inches high.

Ada chamber board meets Wednesday

Ada Area Chamber of Commerce board will hold its monthly meeting at 8 a.m., Wednesday at Beatitudes 210 N. Main St., Ada, according to Becky Neville, chamber board president.

The meeting will be available via Zoon for board members unable to attend.

Mom 2 Mom sale Saturday at BFR

FROM BLUFFTON ICON - Bluffton Family Recreation will hold a Mom to Mom sale, from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 10, at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

There is no vendor fee, but donations are welcome. Persons may register online and specify the number of tables you will bring (limit of 3 per vendor).

There will be supervised activities for youth in the arena so that parents can shop. Admission is by donation or with a canned goods item for the Bluffton food pantry.
