Led by two wins from freshman Lily Baumgartner, the Ada High School swim teams fared well at the North Central Ohio Swim League meet hosted by Colonel Crawford (CC) on Saturday, January 29.
The Lady Bulldogs finished a solid fourth in the eight-team event, while the Ada boys came in seventh.
Meet host CC won the girls title, while Upper Sandusky captured the boys crown. CC edged the Rams in the combined girls/boys score by 18.5 points.
Baumgartner won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke races to lead the Ada girls.
Junior Carlie Oldfield finished second in the 50 freestyle, and touched third in the 100 backstroke.
Junior Kaitlyn Bowden came in second in the 100 freestyle. Oldfield, Baumgartner and Bowden also teamed up to finish second in the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay races.
Bulldog sophomore Jack Baumgartner posted the top Ada boys finish, coming in eighth in the 500 freestyle.
"We had some really good races today," said Ada head coach Katey Stuart. "It was a good meet that showed us what we need to focus on as we head into the last few weeks of the season."

The Ada swim team competes in a dual meet at Hardin County rival Kenton Tuesday evening, February 1. The Bulldogs then visit Lima Senior and Bluffton February 2.
