VAN BUREN – The Ada High School wrestling team gave a solid showing in their first Blanchard Valley Conference championship meet on February 15 at Van Buren.
Two Bulldog grapplers took individual titles as Ada finished sixth at the nine-team event.
Liberty-Benton captured the team crown by 16.5 points over second-place Elmwood. Cory-Rawson finished third. The Bulldogs tallied 82.5 points and ended up 15 points shy of fourth place.
Ada senior Landon Simon won the BVC crown at 215 lbs. Bulldog junior Silas Riblet was the league champion at 120 lbs.

ADA – Temple Christian junior ace Derek Shultz swished a 29-footer at the final buzzer to lift the Pioneers to a stunning 51-49 win at Ada in the regular season finale for the Ada High School boys basketball team, February 15.
The Bulldogs had taken a 49-48 lead with just seven seconds remaining. Junior Zack Zimmerman swished a clutch lane pull-up shot to give Ada a short-lived edge.

An independent auditor's report for the years ended December 31, 2023 and 2022 has been provided to Liberty Township trustees and posted on the Ohio Auditor of State website HERE. BOWLING GREEN – Eight Ada High School swimmers competed at the Div. II district meet at Bowling Green State University on February 14, with one qualifying again for state.
Ada senior Lily Baumgartner won one individual district championship, and finished second in another race.
Baumgartner touched first in the 100-yard backstroke by a large margin of 1.8 seconds to automatically advance to the state meet in Canton for the fourth consecutive year.
She also finished a strong second in the 100-yard butterfly race.
