Victor Lyle Schick worked for Ford Motor Company

Victor Lyle Schick, 73, passed on October 31, 2021, at his home. He was born February 14, 1948 to Victor Arnold and Dorothy Marie (Hullinger) Schick who preceded him in death as well as a grandson, Christopher Lyle Schick; mother-in-law, Charlotte May; a brother-in-law, Perry May; a nephew, Terry Robnolte and brother-in-law, Gene Robnolte. 

Lyle married Brenda Sue (Conrad) Schick on November 12, 1967 who survives. 

Lyle was a 1966 graduate of Allen East High School. He attended Ohio Northern University for two years studying education until he began working for the Ford Motor Company in Lima. He worked on the piston hookup line until he continued his education and became an electrician and finished his 34 1/2 year employment in October 2002 at the Ford powerhouse, which he thoroughly enjoyed. After retirement, he and Brenda began a rug weaving business that they enjoyed for many years going to craft shows and flea markets. He was also a member of the Liberty Chapel Methodist Church.

Lyle enjoyed traveling, gardening, flea market shopping, coaching baseball and football, watching his kids and grandkids play sports or anything they were involved in and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Brenda Sue  Schick; five children, Jeffrey Lyle (Selena) Schick, Liann Marie (Shawn) Slotsve, Victor Matthew (Jeanette) Schick,  Lisa Renee (Jim) McLaughlin and Michael Anthony "Tony" (Petia) Schick; sister, Carolyn A. Robnolte; seven grandchildren, Tiffany  Schick, Tyler (Katie)  McLaughlin, Courtney  McLaughlin, Ashley  McLaughlin, Alyssa  Slotsve, Ariel Schick and Deni; one Great-granddaughter, Paislee Hoffer and three brothers-in-law, Rick (Cindy)  Conrad, Ron (Teresa) Conrad, Dave (Mary Rose) May and several nieces and nephews. 

Lyle's wishes were that no services be observed.     

Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, 7590 Sandusky Road, Lima, Ohio 45801.
