Notes from the October 2021 Board Of Education Meeting
The Ada Board of Education held a regular Board meeting on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
President Mr. Gossman called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Upon call of the roll, all members present.
The Board approved the minutes of the regular September board of education meeting held on September 15, 2021, minutes of the special September board meeting held on September 28, 2021 and the minutes of the special October board meeting held October 5, 2021.
Hearing of the Public – Consideration to re-evaluate wearing masks on the bus
SPECIAL REPORTS WERE PRESENTED TO THE BOARD AS FOLLOWS:
Mrs. VanBuskirk – (remotely via Zoom)
Summer School: 26 elementary students attended 5 week period – 24 retained or grew in progress
After school program: 16-18 ONU students help tutor; 16 elementary students and 6-12 Junior High students have attended
Literacy Night: October 25th – 112 students signed up K-3

The Board approved the employment of Robin Vanbuskirk as superintendent contingent upon Mrs. Vanbuskirk providing evidence of obtaining and maintaining licensure to serve as superintendent from the Ohio Department of Education prior to December 1, 2021. Contract date December 1, 2021 to July 31, 2023.
