Ada's latest news

You probably already know this - there are more polar bear Christmas tree ornaments in Ada, Ohio, 45810, than in any other small town in North America. Here's one of the many such ornaments. This one is on a tree in the ONU HealthWise reception area.

James A. “Jim” Griffith, age 72, passed away at his residence in Lakeview on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1948, in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Robert and Vesta (Miller) Griffith. 

James retired from Proctor & Gamble of Lima, where he worked as a product manager.  James was a U. S. Navy Veteran. He served in the Mediterranean as a Crew Chief on the Aircraft Carrier the John F. Kennedy.  He was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge of Lakeview.

He is survived by his two sisters: Mary Bea Agin of Ada and Bobbie (Lee) Hansel of Livingston, N.J.

It was James’ wish to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
