So, you think you know Ada? You will find this on a sign inside the Ada Municipal building.

Junior Andrew Buderer (Oak Harbor) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 8-14.

Buderer won the pole vault to help the Polar Bears (15-3) to a second place finish at the OAC Elite Meet on Sunday at Otterbein and Capital.

He won the pole vault by clearing 4.70 meters to remain undefeated on the season with victories in all four meets this winter.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Sunday with a tri-meet at Capital with Wilmington.

Ada schools are on a two-hour delay for Wednesday, Feb. 17, according to Ohio Alerts. The announcement was made at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Nick and Amber Simon talk about their business "One More"

Nick and Amber Simon from “One More,” a new Ada business are the featured speakers at the 8 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, Ada Area Chamber of Commerce meeting on Zoom.

The Simon’s business is at 123 E. Buckeye St., Ada, and involves fitness and other businesses, according to Becky Neville, chamber president.

Signals the beginning of the season of Lent

The season of Lent in the Christian year is observed by several area congregations with Ash Wednesday services on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Masses will be at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

St. Mark Lutheran Church
St. Mark Lutheran Church has been invited to share Ash Wednesday services with Zion Lutheran Church, 101 E Main St. LaFayette, at 7 p.m.
