School hours traffic alert signs installed

Two "caution during school hours" signs have been installed on Main St. to alert drivers to pedestrians crossing the road between the lights at North Ave. and Highland Ave. The distance between intersections is .3 miles.

10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's program on May 16

At 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, the Alger Public Library will host a program on The 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's by Jack Duffy.

Memory loss that disrupts daily life may be a symptom of Alzheimer's or other dementia. Alzheimer's is a brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills.

The Alger Public Library, 100 W. Wagner St., serves all the residents of the Upper Scioto Valley School District. The library was founded in 1939.

Tickets on sale for May 18 Ada Rotary Chicken BBQ

The Ada Rotary is hosting a Chicken BBQ fundraiser with proceeds goig to High School Scholarship and Ada Community Projects.

The event is Thursday, May 18 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at Hays Insurance, 202 South Main St., Ada.

Bulldog tennis singles lead team past Upper

UPPER SANDUSKY–The Ada High School tennis team went on the road and defeated Upper Sandusky 3-2 Monday evening, May 8.

Ada won all three singles matches to post the team victory.
