COLUMBUS GROVE - The Ada track and field teams competed in the Northwest Conference championship meet Thursday and Saturday at Columbus Grove.
Meet host Grove claimed both the boys and girls championships.
CG captured the girls crown with 163 points, while Spencerville came in second at 141.
The Ada girls finished a solid fourth out of nine teams with 60 points, just edging fifth-place Bluffton (59) by a point. Delphos Jefferson and Lincolnview were right behind them in a tie for sixth with 58 points.
CG cruised to the boys title with 217.5 points, well ahead of second-place Bluffton (123.5). Allen East finished third with 80 points.
The Ada boys came in ninth with 16 points, a point behind Paulding.
Lady Bulldog sophomore Courtney Sumner won the conference long jump crown to pace Ada. Junior teammate Olivia Green finished second in the long jump.
Lady Bulldog senior Brenna Hissong finished second in the girls 400 meter dash as well. Green also took fourth in the 100 hurdles.
Antonio Pettit crossed the line fifth in the 110 high hurdles, and took seventh in the pole vault to provide the top Ada boys individual showings.
Matthew Frazier also finished seventh in the discus.
