Ada boys lose at 2nd-place Paulding

Tennis match with Upper Sandusky rained out

PAULDING - The visiting Ada baseball team made the long trip to Paulding and fell 9-2 in the Northwest Conference finale Monday evening in a makeup contest.

The Bulldogs dropped to 6-12 overall and finished 1-7 in the NWC following the defeat. The Panthers improved to 15-6 and ended up 7-1 in the NWC with the win, putting them second behind state-ranked Lincolnview.

Ada trailed 4-0 after three innings, but plated two runs in the top of the fourth to cut the deficit in half. 

Paulding responded with a run in the home fourth, then pushed across four more in the bottom of the fifth to seal the outcome. 

Tyler Jameson collected two hits, a walk and scored a run for Ada. Trent Ennis tallied the other Bulldog run.

Spencer Wall drove in a run while Roman Snyder had an RBI hit.

Paulding out-hit Ada, 13-3. The Bulldogs were charged with three errors compared to two miscues by the Panthers.

The Bulldogs host Cory-Rawson (4-14, 1-9 BVC) in a non-league makeup game Wednesday, May 12.

Ada net match at Rams rained out
UPPER SANDUSKY - The Ada tennis team     traveled to Upper Sandusky Monday evening for its final regular season dual match of 2021.

However, the match was rained out after just a few games were completed to keep the Bulldog 2021 record at 8-7.

Senior Miranda Wills ends her regular season 11-5-1 at first singles.

Junior southpaw Dexter Woods III finished 15-2 at second singles. 

The top two Ada singles players will combine to play doubles May 13/15 at the Div. II sectionals this week at UNOH in Lima.
