Several openings still available for Friday’s ONU vaccination clinic
Plenty of appointments remain available to the public for Ohio Northern University’s state-sponsored COVID-19 mobile mass vaccination clinic, scheduled for this Friday, April 16, from 2-6:30 p.m. at King Horn Sports Center’s field house.

ONU pharmacy students and faculty will be administering the two-dose Moderna-brand vaccine. Those who are served at this clinic and future state-sponsored clinics hosted by HealthWise Mobile Clinic will able to make appointments to receive their second shot.
Organizers acknowledge the lack of appointments could be partly due to Tuesday’s disruption.
ONU had temporarily paused its state-sponsored clinics in accordance with the state of Ohio’s action related to the CDC and FDA recommendations regarding Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine administration. The University had only been administering the single-dose Johnson & Johnson brand for these regional mass vaccination clinics. Clinics this past Tuesday and Wednesday were cancelled.
Since the initial pause, however, Ohio Northern was able to acquire Moderna vaccines from the state for its upcoming clinics slated to take place through May in Wyandot, Union, Logan, Hardin, Crawford and Marion counties.
