Registration is open for Annual Bowl For Kids' Sake

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hardin County will hold its annual Bowl For Kids' Sake event at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22 at Hillcrest Lanes in Kenton.

Participants of all ages are invited to enjoy "a day of bowling, camaraderie, and philanthropy, all in support of local youth mentorship programs."

Participants can register individually or as teams. Registration is open at at https://bit.ly/HardinBFKS until February 10. Early registration is encouraged to secure your spot and begin fundraising efforts.

ADA – Ada junior Kayleb Hickman stole a long in-bounds pass, then dribbled downcourt and nailed a top of the key triple just before the buzzer to lift the Ada High School boys basketball team to a thrilling 56-55 overtime win over visiting Blanchard Valley Conference foe Arcadia on January 3.

Raines awarded 4-H recognition

KENTON, Ohio — Amanda Raines, 4-H Youth Development Educator in Hardin County, was awarded the Epsilon Sigma Phi Mid-Career Service Recognition Award at OSU Extension's Conference on December 11, 2024.

This award is give to an Extension professional with 10-20 yars of service who exemplifies outstanding programs, service and leadership.

Weekend Doctor: New treatments protect babies from RSV

It’s always a joyful moment when a new baby is born. Everyone in the family wants to come meet the new addition. A few days later, this precious little baby is struggling to breathe and needs to be in the intensive care unit (ICU) with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) bronchiolitis.
