Water main break on Ream Street
The Village of Ada public works department announced that a water main break has occurred on Ream Street this morning (Thursday, Feb. 11).
The announcement was made at 9:39 a.m.
Here is the announcement:
We experienced a water main break on Ream Street this morning (2/11/2021.) The break appears to be in the alley between 307 and 311 Ream Street, though crews are still working to confirm the exact residences that may be impacted.
We hope to close only 3 valves to isolate the break. There may be a decrease in water pressure to the area.
We hope to repair the break while maintaining a positive water pressure so a boil alert will not be required. A bacteriological sample will be taken when the repair is done.
Village crews will continue to work in the area water main break as long as necessary. While you may experience slight inconveniences, we ask that you remember to use caution if you need to drive or walk near the work zone.
If you have questions regarding the water main break, please contact the water office at 419-634-4045, option 1.
