Lady Bulldogs face Marion Local in sectional opener

ADA - The Ada girls basketball team was seeded 10th out of 13 teams at the Div. IV super sectional drawing held by conference call recently.
Minster was voted the number one seed, with New Knoxville tabbed second by the coaches.
The Lady Bulldog cagers (4-13) will visit third-seeded Midwest Athletic Conference power Marion Local (16-4) Thursday, February 18 at 7 p.m.
The Ada/ML winner takes on sixth seed Parkway (8-10) at the home of the higher seed Saturday, February 20 at 7 p.m. Parkway received a first round bye after the higher-seeded Flyers declined it.
The top six seeds are all from the Midwest Athletic Conference.
In other opening sectional action on February 18, seventh-seeded Ridgemont (9-8) hosts eighth seed Lima Central Catholic (7-12). The winner advances to visit sectional top seed Minster (18-1) February 20.
At New Bremen on Feb. 18, 12th-seeded Hardin Northern (4-10) plays at fourth-seeded MAC foe Fort Recovery (13-5). Also at NB, ninth seed Waynesfield-Goshen (6-12) visits the fifth-seeded host New Lady Cardinals (11-7).
Those two semifinal winners will play on February 20 at the home of the highest remaining seed.
The final bracket quarter features second seed New Knoxville (16-3) entertaining 11th seed St. Henry (2-13) on Feb. 18.
NK passed up a first round bye, and thus the NK/SH winner will advance to host 13th seed Upper Scioto Valley (2-15) Feb. 20.
The four sectional winners advance to district play at Wapakoneta Feb. 25/27.
