Ada schools will continue in its remote learning mode through Friday, Dec. 4, according to an announcement made Friday on the school website by Meri Skilliter, superintendent.
The remote learning mode will be reassessed in early December. The announcement from the school website follows:
Dear Bulldog Community,
After three weeks of remote learning, the state, the county, our community, and our school community are still experiencing a rise in the number of Covid cases and quarantines.
We very much have as a goal to get our students back to in-person learning as soon as we are safely able.
Due to continued staff quarantines and cases, we find it necessary to continue our remote learning through Friday, Dec. 4. During that week, we will reassess and determine what we should do going forward.
We know this model is difficult for some students, and that students miss the routine and socialization that school brings.
This is an important mental health issue to us. Until we can bring them back, please lean on the principals, your teachers, the school counselors and other mental health resources we have shared over the last couple of weeks.
We will continue to deliver meals weekly. Next week delivery is on Tuesday, due to the holiday. We will text alert the date of delivery for the following week.
We thank you for your patience as we work through this pandemic and all of its challenges. Our number one priority is to keep our students and staff safe and healthy. Have a good Thanksgiving, and stay safe.
