   Football - Lost 13-24 at Otterbein

   Volleyball - NCAA Tournament at Calvin - Lost 0-3 v #2 Wittenberg, 1st Round

   Men's Soccer - NCAA Tournament at Pittsburgh, Pa. - Won 1-0 v Thomas More, 1st Round; Won 3-1 at #6 Carnegie Mellon (Pa.), 2nd Round

   Women's Soccer - NCAA Tournament at Pittsburgh, Pa. - Tied 1-1 v RIT (N.Y.), 1st Round (advanced 4-2 on PKS); Lost 0-1 at #17 Carnegie Mellon (Pa.), 2nd Round

   Women's XC - 7th of 33 at NCAA III Great Lakes Regional Championships at Anderson, Ind.

Jerry Lewis' McDonald's prepared to feed 3,200 on Thanksgiving day

The Jerry Lewis’ McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be held on Thursday, Nov 22 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Lima Veteran’s Memorial Civic and Convention Center.

This year marks the 8th year for the Jerry Lewis’ McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Dinner which was started in 1989 by the Chester Carey Family. 

“Each year the dinner continues to grow, a great deal of which is due to the economy. We know that now, more than ever, it is important to have a place for people to eat and fellowship on a special day like Thanksgiving,” says local McDonald’s Owner, Jerry Lewis.

No. 5 men's soccer to face No. 10 Susquehanna (Pa.) in third round of NCAA III tournament

The No. 5 Ohio Northern men's soccer team will face No. 10 Susquehanna (Pa.) on Saturday in San Antonio, Texas.

The time will be announced later.

This is the second straight season that the Polar Bears are in the Third Round and third time in school history.

On Friday, ONU got a goal from juniorJeremy Barnes to top Thomas More (Ky.) by a 1-0 margin in the First Round.

On Saturday, freshman Keegan Ross, senior Chris Matejka and junior Stephen Perkins all scored as Northern knocked off No. 6 Carnegie Mellon by a 3-1 score to advance.

The Polar Bears stand at 22-2 on the season and have won a school record 15 matches in a row.

Dr. Westcott and Dr. Perkins now providing OB/GYN care in Bluffton

Blanchard Valley Health System OB/GYNs Dr. Allison Westcott and Dr. Kimberlee Perkins are now offering obstetrics and gynecology care in Bluffton. They are seeing patients at Bluffton Women’s Care, 559 Harmon Road, Bluffton, alongside Dr. Jacob Dagani and Certified Nurse Practitioner Cynthia Ulrich.

Dr. Westcott received her medical degree from The University of Toledo and completed an OB/GYN residency at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina.

Twinsburg goes home with the Ada Music Feast grand champion trophy

Several individual and groups were winners in the 35th annual Ada Music Booster’s “Music Feast,” held Nov. 10 at Ada High School.

The Twinsburg High School show choir was presented with the overall grand champion.

Apollo collects for hurricane relief

Apollo Career Center Student Council is partnering with Stoops National Lease to bring Hurricane Relief Supplies to NYC New York City.

 

“We look for this to be a community-wide effort – student council members will be contacting area businesses asking for donations. Area organizations and individuals will be able to drop off items here at Apollo near the CET building.  CET students will be helping to organize and load the supplies,” said Melissa Roll.
