Several significant village-related expenditures were approved by Ada council on Feb. 25.
Among these include the purchase of a Bobcat compact excavator at a cost of $53,077.

Both pump have seen 30-plus years of use. The total cost is $27,221. The custom-built pumps will fit into the village’s existing piping, according to Jamie Hall, village administrator.
Council also agreed to spend $48,000 for a manhole reconstruction project on Main and North streets. The project involves reconstruction of up to 60 sanitary and storm manholes with lids and concrete lids. The estimated cost per manhole is $800. Council awarded the project to Brenneman Excavating of Elida.
