Edward Jones Financial Advisor Dustin Brooks wins Spirit of Partnership Award

 

Dustin Brooks of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Ada recently won the firm's exclusive Spirit of Partnership Award for outstanding performance during 2011.

Jim Weddle, the firm's managing partner, calls Brooks a leader in the firm and an example of what a dedicated Edward Jones financial advisor can achieve.

"Dustin has demonstrated unyielding dedication and enthusiasm for his business of serving individual investors," Weddle said. "Dustin has reached a benchmark in his career that deserves recognition, and the Spirit of Partnership Award provides that recognition. I am proud to call him an Edward Jones financial advisor."

ONU student selected to participate on U.S. Paralympic Swimming team

 Ohio Northern junior Amanda Everlove has been selected to participate on the U.S. Paralympic Swimming team at the 2012 London Payalympic Games Aug. 29-Sept. 9.

Everlove qualified for Team USA in the 100 fly, finishing second in the S8 classification in 1:18.23, posting the sixth-fastest time in the world in the event.

She also finished second at the US Trials in the 200 I.M. in 3:12.06 and in the 50 Free in :33.81.

This will be Everlove's second Paralympic Games experience, as she earned three silver medals in the 2008 Games in Beijing in the 50 free, 100 Fly and the 200 I.M. events.

Apollo board considers administrative salaries on June 25
