Rhythm in Motion grand opening underway this week

Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre will celebrate the week with a grand opening, according to Darcey Schneider, studio owner.

"Don't miss out in all the fun," she told The Icon. "There will be free classes at RIMDC! Check our jam packed schedule and come visit us for a fun class taught by our qualified staff."

She added: "Giveaways, raffles, refreshments and more are planned. The Bead Chick will be on hand on Monday, Aug. 20, from 6-8 p.m. to take orders for your performer. She is a well-know jewelry maker who specializes in special orders and unique and fun jewelry for girls and women of all ages who wear all styles She will have custom work on hand to shop from as well."

Viewers invited to enter Icon football contest week 1

The Ada Icon invites viewers to enter its weekly high school/college football contest. The first week's contest is now posted. Viewers may enter it by clicking the contest banner located at the bottom of this page, or by clicking here. 

The contest will run for 10 weeks. There will be a weekly winner and a regular season winner. The contest judge will keep track of all players and their total wins during the entire contest to determine the regular season winner. 

Weekly winners will be announced each week and the accumulated points of the contestants will also be listed weekly.

Ada Icon football contest coming

Are you ready for high school football? The Ada Icon will launch a weekly football contest starting this week. Watch the Icon for the entry form to be posted. Details on how to play will also be announced. Stay tuned.

A busy day in Ada - 1907

The post card reads: "Our busy day, Ada, Ohio." The message side lists an August 7, 1907, Ada postmark. The post card was mailed to John Trainer of Sparta, Ohio, Morrow County.

The message, in ink, below the photo reads: "Social Progress" winning Lehr Prize was published July 12. Think we sent you a copy several days ago. Very truly, Harold.

We don't know the event that attracted so many people, dressed up, to downtown Ada. The photo is taken at the railroad track looking south.
