Apollo board will act on $21.5 million fiscal year 2013 appropriations

The Apollo Career Center school board will act on 2013 fiscal year appropriations totaling approximately $21.5 million at its Sept. 24 board meeting.

The agenda to the meeting is an attachment at the bottom of this story. Ada is part of the Apollo system.

The Expendables 2 (R) starts Friday at Ada Theatre

The Expendables 2 (R) will start at the Ada Theatre this weekend, Sept. 21, according to James Curlis, owner.

Schedule:

• Friday and Saturday 7 and 9 p.m.

• Saturday and Sunday Matinee  4 p.m.

• Daily 7 p.m.

Some reminders about Ada HS homecoming

Ada High School homecoming is Oct. 6. The high school office reminds freshmen through seniors that school fees need to be paid or a partial payment made before students may purchase homecoming tickets.

In addition, Emergency Medical Formsmust be turned in before students can purchase a ticket.

For students wanting to bring a guest from outside of the Ada school or alumni to the dance, a guest request form is required. This form is available in the high school office. The deadline for turning in a guest request form is by 3:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28.

The "Alumni Factor" ranks ONU as a top school

The Alumni Factor has named Ohio Northern University as one of the top 177 top schools in the nation. ONU ranked 154th overall and 18th in the Midwest region.

“This latest recognition shows not only that students who graduate from ONU receive an excellent education that prepares them for the future, but also that they enjoy the ONU experience and all the University has to offer,” said Daniel A. DiBiasio, ONU president.
