Ada chamber unveils new logo
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce unveiled a new logo at its Wednesday morning breakfast meeting at the Ada Public Library.
The new logo replaces a logo with several decades of use, according to Deb Curlis, chamber director.
“Ada’s chamber board wanted a logo that is bold and modern, yet simple and easy to recognize,” she added.
The result is a logo with the word Ada in bold face capital letters.
Adding the word, “Ohio” identifies Ada from nearly 20 Ada villages and cities around the United States. The most familiar being Ada, Oklahoma, and Ada, Michigan. Ada, Ohio, often is confused with Ada, Oklahoma, especially on the internet.
A tree in the logo represents the village’s long-standing recognition as a Tree City USA. In fact, the village was one of the first, if not the first in Ohio, to gain this status.
The tree represents many additional qualities that the chamber believes represents Ada. These descriptive words include life, growth, stability nature, strength and protection. And, the tree is rooted in the past and heads skyward, a message the chamber wanted to stress about Ada’s heritage.
Kathryn Luginbuhl, a local graphic designer, created the logo.
Graphically speaking, “Ada” is in the font Avenir Black. The other text in the logo is in Copperplate. Ada’s chamber used Hunter Green as its color.
Ada’s chamber continues to grow. It has over 80 members this year. Persons interested in more information about the chamber may contact Curlis at [email protected], or 419-788-9459. Its website is www.adachamber.org.
