Following a week-long camp, Ada High School’s Varsity Singers will give a free public performance on Thursday.
The performance is at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 25, in the school auditorium, as a preview of the upcoming show choir season, according to Scott Henning, director.

The show’s title is “Coffee Break.” It takes place in the Varsity Singer's Cafe where hard work and coffee keep the world going.
This year’s Singers include 29 singers and dancers, 12 band members and a four-person crew.
Henning begins his fourth year with Ada school. The assistant director is Tom Atkinson, who is new this year. He joins the Ada teaching staff coming from Lima South elementary-middle school.
Oshra Gadkar, a fourth-year pharmacy student at ONU, with a minor in dance, is the choreographer.
Emma Ferguson, a former Varsity Singer, currently a nursing student, is the dance assistant.
The Singers will perform at the Hardin County Fair, Findlay Fall Fest and in multiple performances around Ohio and Indiana in winter.
Henning said, “Thanks to the administration of Ada schools for their hospitality and allowing us to use the school for our camp, the Village of Ada for helping the students celebrate their hard work at the Ada swimming pool, the Ada Music Boosters for lunches, and thanks to the students and the parents who help make my job so much fun!"
