FINDLAY - The Ada track and field teams competed in day one of the Div. III district meet at Liberty-Benton in Findlay Thursday.
Competition resumes Saturday at L-B in Findlay with all finals events. Adaites Noah Mattson (shot put) and Nora Dellifield (pole vault) are among the top seeds in their events.
The Bulldog boys 4x400 relay foursome of Alex Morgan, Philip Gautier, Michael Crouse and Miguel Jordan finished first in preliminary heats to qualify as top seed for the finals race Saturday.
Other Thursday Ada qualifiers for final events Saturday are sophomore Brenna Hissong in the 400 meters, junior Morgan (300 hurdles), senior Anabel Alexander (800) and senior Jordan (800).
The Lady Bulldog 4x400 relay quartet also qualified for the finals by finishing eighth.
A top four finals finish qualifies an athlete or relay team to regionals next week in Tiffin.
