PAULDING - The visiting Ada girls soccer team crushed winless Paulding 8-0 behind a pair of hat tricks in a Northwest Conference mismatch Saturday.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-9 overall and 2-4 in the Northwest Conference with the lopsided road win. Paulding dropped to 0-10 and 0-4 in league action with the defeat.

Ada scored seven goals before halftime to put the game well out of reach early.

Bulldog juniors Katie Butterfield and Bella East each netted three goals to post hat tricks before intermission.

The Ohio Northern women's soccer program earned its ninth consecutive victory Saturday afternoon as the Polar Bears routed Ohio Athletic Conference foe Muskingum 11-0 in the annual Friends of Jaclyn game in Ada

Northern, who now sits 9-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the OAC, received goals from eight different scorers in the conference clash. Meanwhile, the Muskies would drop to 5-7-0 overall and 0-3-0 in league play on the season.

Freshman Madi Ellis had 12 kills and five blocks and junior Chelsea Huppert added 11 kills and five blocks as No. 17-ranked Ohio Northern swept Muskingum 25-23, 25-18, 25-18 on Saturday afternoon in New Concord

The Polar Bears improve to 13-4 overall and are 2-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies fall to 18-3, 2-1.

Junior Sydney Bapst  added nine kills, sophomore Katie Wade dished out 28 assists and had 10 digs and junior McKenna Hostetler had 21 digs for ONU.

The Ohio Northern men's golf team finished sixth of nine teams at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Championships on Saturday at Colonial Golfers Club.

 

The Polar Bears (10-20 overall) posted a 314 for the 6886-yard, par-72 course, finishing just 11 shots behind the leader.

The championship was scheduled to be a 36-hole affair, but Friday's first round was canceled due to heavy rains in the area.

NEW CONCORD - The Ohio Northern men's soccer team wrapped up a two-match road stretch Saturday evening as the Polar Bears slipped past Ohio Athletic Conference foe Muskingum 2-0.

With the victory, ONU improves to 9-3-1 overall and to 2-1-0 in league play on the season. The Muskies dropped to 5-7-0 overall and 0-3-0 in OAC action, falling in their third straight contest.
