Liberty National Bank awards four $1,000 scholarships

Kama Arn, Ada senior, among the student reciepients

Ada High School senior Kama Arn is one of four students awarded a $1,000 Liberty National Bank college scholarship, announced Ronald L. Zimmerly, Liberty president and chief executive officer.

Liberty Bank employees have created the fund by making voluntary donations to it.

In addition, Liberty National Bank board of directors made a commitment to match any money given through the scholarship fund up to a maximum of $500.  The scholarship is a one-time donation to a qualifying senior of an employee.

This year’s four scholarship winners are:

Kama Arn is a 2019 Ada High School graduate. Kama will be a freshman at Bowling Green University this fall, majoring in Nursing. She is the daughter of Scott and Corsie Arn of Dola.

Ollie Jacobs is a 2019 Riverside High School graduate. Ollie will be a freshman at Ohio Northern University this fall, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He is the son of Angela Hersh of Lakeview and Jason Jacobs of DeGraff.

Jared Ruhlen is a 2019 Hardin Northern High School/Apollo Career Center graduate. Jared will be a freshman at the Rhodes State College this fall, majoring in Nursing. He is the son of Mark and Sara Ruhlen of Dunkirk.

Makenna Waddell is a 2019 Pleasant Local High School graduate. Makenna will be a freshman at the Ohio Wesleyan University this fall, majoring in Pre-Medicine. She is the daughter of Michael and Cathy Waddell of Marion.
