Three Ada players received All-Northwest Conference boys' basketball honors from league coaches in voting conducted at their annual selection meeting in Delphos Monday night.
Bulldog senior post Connor Frazier was named honorable mention all-conference for the second straight season. The 6-6 Frazier led the team in rebounds and blocked shots, and was second in total points.
Ada leading scorer Phillip Coulson, a junior wing, was also voted honorable mention all-league.
Bulldog senior guard Cade Mullins was the third Ada player to be named honorable mention All-NWC.
Ada finished 6-18 overall and 2-6 in NWC play. Crestview (7-1) and Columbus Grove shared the league boys team title, with the Knights beating Grove in the season finale.
Bluffton, Paulding and Lincolnview each tied for third in the NWC at 5-3. Allen East, led by NWC second team pick Tyler Clum, took sixth at 3-5. Ada and Delphos Jefferson tied for seventh (2-6), with Spencerville last at 0-8.
Crestview 6-7 senior Javin Etzler repeated as NWC Player of the Year. Etzler received 113 total points in the voting to finish ahead of second-place Luke Denecker, a junior guard from Bluffton.
Etzler averaged 14.4 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game for the Knights. He is also a three-time All-NWC first team selection.
NWC Coach of the Year honors for 2018-19 went to former Ada mentor Chris Sautter of Columbus Grove. He led CG to a share of the league crown and a regular season record of 16-5.
