Polly the police cat?

When the Icon visits the Ada Municipal Building, this petite black cat is usually sighted. We recently learned that this is Polly, one of the many "unaffiliated" cats who have been neutered or spayed thanks to Bulldogs for Alley Cats. Remarkably, Polly didn't run away at this meeting and posed for a photo of her ear tip.

The Ada football program moves to the Blanchard Valley Conference in 2024 led by three-year starting quarterback Levi Green. The team will attempt to meet or surpass the .500 mark and make post-season play for the first time since 2017.

Water rates, zoning inspection part of open and closed door Council discussions

UPDATE: Michele Chambers has been hired as zoning inspector. The Village is still looking for a code enforcement officer.

The August 20 meeting of the Village of Ada council had a brief agenda, but an executive session extended the meeting to over an hour and a half.

Studio 419 open house on August 25

1:00-3:00 p.m., 111-113 S Main St, Ada

Studio 419 will hold an open house with dance Instructors and owners to answer questions and assist in class registration.

Dancers’ Pointe will assist with fitting students with correct dance shoes and other accessories.

ID pictures will be taken for all students.

There will als be raffles and light refreshments.
