County Road 75 bridge replacement near Ada

ODOT District 1 has announced that bridge replacement on County Road 75 between Township Road 30 and State Route 81 over Hog Creek will detour traffic until October 2023. Access to properties will be maintained. (ODOT MAP.)

Project schedule 
- Construction begins: June 2023
- Construction ends: October 2023

Traffic impacts 
Vehicular traffic will be detoured. Access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.

Timothy Wayne Jordan was an insurance agent

Timothy Wayne Jordan, age 68, of McGuffey, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kenton.  

He was born to the late Joseph and Peggy (Duffman) Jordan on March 3, 1955, in Kenton, Ohio. 

Registration for 2023 fall youth soccer is open

The Ada, Ohio Soccer Association has announced that registration for fall soccer begins runs from June 1-30 with these reminders:

1) A child must be 4 years old at the time of sign ups.

2) A child from any school district is eligible to play for us.

3) If your child is in U6, please mark their t-shirt size in the registration form. Please DO NOT mark that they need a jersey!

4) Kids in U8-U15 will need a jersey! If they have one from a previous season, they may use that.

5) The fall season games will start August 21 and will run through the end of September/early October.

Strike a balance

"Strike a balance" is an idiom used to find middle ground between two parts or two opinions. It is a way to equally proportion conflicts with accepting demands on both sides. The balance of exercise and diet are one of these continuing disagreements as individuals try to lose weight.

Kenton-Hardin Health Department warns of Benadryl TikTok challenge

It has come to the attention of the Kenton-Hardin Health Department that the Benadryl TikTok challenge is recirculating on social media. In 2020 the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) issued a warning pertaining to the dangers of this challenge. We want to make the public aware of what this challenge consists of so that parents and other individuals are aware of the dangers and what to watch for. The challenge consists of an individual filming themselves while ingesting anywhere between 12 -14 pills of the over - the - counter drug Benadryl. It is believed that individuals are doing this to experience the toxicities of the side effects of the drug which include hallucinations.
