Ada spikers cage Bearcats

SPENCERVILLE - The visiting Ada volleyball team swept Spencerville Tuesday night in a Northwest Conference mismatch.

The Lady Bulldog spikers snapped a two-match loss skid with the 25-11, 25-16, 25-17 victory. Ada improved to 11-9 overall and 4-2 in the NWC with two league matches left, both at home.

Spencerville fell to 4-11 and 0-5 in the NWC with the defeat.

Sophomore Megan Light knocked down 16 kills and added one block to lead the Ada hitters.

Junior setter Sidney Gossard passed out 35 assists and served  four aces. Senior libero Morgan Swick mustered 11 digs and dealt a pair of aces.

Senior hitter Rilan Conley knocked out seven kills and added 13 digs. Senior Raina drilled six kills.

Sophomore Miranda Wills contributed five kills and classmate Kendal Guagenti compiled 11 digs while serving four aces.

The Lady Bulldog reserves also won, 2-1.

Ada hosts second-place NWC foe Lincolnview (14-4, 4-1 NWC) Thursday in Volley for the Cure night, October 4. Crestview, Lincolnview and Columbus Grove were all tied at 4-1 in league play going into Tuesday night.

Paulding is alone in first in the NWC at 6-0.
