Women’s soccer wins
The Ohio Northern women's soccer team, ranked 8th nationally, picked up its first win of the 2018 season Saturday afternoon, defeating the Case Western Reserve Spartans 1-0 at Kerscher Stadium.
With the victory, the Polar Bears improve to 1-2-0 on the season while Case Western Reserve falls to a similar mark.
Junior midfielder supplied the lone goal of the match in the 69th minute, tapping in a shot that rebounded off of Spartan goalkeeper Lauren Metz. Senior forward McKenna Welsh was credited with an assist, her first of the season, after producing the initial shot on goal.
