Fleming nursing scholarship applications available

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio is accepting applications for the Barbara Fleming Memorial Nursing Scholarship. The scholarship is meant to promote the career of nursing.

Therefore the scholarship money may be used toward a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a degree as a Registered Nurse, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  The scholarship is to be used to pay school-related expenses toward any of these degrees.

The scholarship offers a minimum award of $500, and will be paid directly to the vocational school or college where the student is enrolled.

Hardin County births in January at Bluffton Hospital

The folliwing is a list of babies born at Bluffton Hospital to Hardin County residents in January.

Jan. 17 - Audrey Salyer Cheney, daughter of Colby Salyer and Weslie Cheney, 8 pounds and 14 ounces, 21 inches long.

Jan. 23 - Serenity Nicole Hutchinson, daughter of Ashley Leiber and Josh Hutchinson, seven pounds and seven ounces, 20 inches long.

Jan. 28 - Arynn Breanna Chism, daughter of Angie and Jason Chism, 6 pounds and 13 ounces, 19 and a half inches long.

So, you think you know Ada! Okay, where have you enjoyed the music of these two long-time Ada musicians? We don't know the tune they are playing, but from their perch, they've watched you for a very long time.

By the way, the violinist is a lefty!
