Ada health palooza Oct. 17 at Community Health Professionals

It's called Ada's Health Palooza. The event filled with countless health-related activities takes place from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.

Sponsored by Liberty National Bank and Community Health Professionals, here's the list of activities covered - all free:

1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
1/2 pound deli ham slices
1 package pepperoni
1 jar pizza sauce
1 package mozzarella cheese

Roll dough out to rectangle shape. Spread pizza sauce over all of the dough. Place ham, pepperoni and cheese on half of the dough. Fold dough over, pinch all sides closed.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

It's a busy time of year in Ada Schools. There are activities on the school calendar every day this month...from Book Club, Kiwanis spaghetti dinner, picture days, band contests and grade cards going home.

"The Giver" on Freed Center stage Friday night

Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present a Literature to Life performance of the “The Giver” by Lois Lowery on Friday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m.

Whose boots?

Friday was a dark and stormy night. It was also Ada homecoming. The Icon captured these boots in a photograph at the Ada-Paulding football game. There were lots of boots in the stands. These were together on the front row of the 50-yard line. Can you guess who the boot owners are? Click here for the answer.
