Here’s a head-scratcher: do Icon readers know the difference between news and advertising? I’ve found myself explaining what’s news and what’s advertising–at least on the pages of the Bluffton Icon and the Ada Icon–several times recently.
While both are posted at the discretion of the publisher, news is provided for the benefit of readers with no financial considerations. The Icon also has a distinctly local focus. For example, you won’t find coverage of the Olympics unless the story has local ties.
With a January 2 win--44-0 win over Mount St Joseph--Ohio Northern wrestling Coach Ron Beaschler picked up his 400th career win. Beaschler's bio can be found HERE.
ELMORE – The Ada High School wrestling team competed well at the two-day Woodmore A Classic Invitational meet Friday and Saturday, January 3 and 4, finishing ninth out of 25 teams.

In the semifinals he posted a 14-1 decision victory. In the title round bout, Simon triumphed 5-2.
Ada senior Liam Vieira won his 100th varsity match via pin in the third-place bout Saturday. He went 6-1 at the tournament with five pins.
Vieira became just the fourth wrestler in Ada history to reach 100 wins, joining Austin Windle, Chase Sumner and Clayton McClain.
