The Ohio Northern women's soccer team will be hosting a benefit game on Sunday, April 14 at 2 pm at the ONU Soccer Field.

Admission to the game is free.

All proceeds earned during the game from t-shirt sales, baked goods, donations and a raffle will go directly towards the hospital bills of Ohio Northern biology professor Jamie Sanford's 4-year-old son, who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Synovil Sarcoma.

The team has already presold over 200 "Team Brady" shirts.

Pre-ordered shirts can be picked up at the game and a limited supply will be available for purchase for $10.

A “cash mob” is coming to Ada in April.

The Buy Ada First Committee, an ad hoc group consisting of local business people and residents, will hold the community’s third cash mob on Tuesday, April 23, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. The location, which is a prominent business in Ada, will be revealed soon.

“Each cash mob has been a great success and it brings business to our Ada community,” said Heather Cox, of the committee.

“All you need to do is show up, make a purchase large or small and celebrate the Ada community. Join in the fun and give a local business a boost,” said Cox.

Ada High School students have a chance to win two tickets to Cedar Point and a $100 gas card. 

Freshmen through seniors who bring to school Boxtops and Campbell soup labels earch a chance to win for every 10 turned into your English teachers.

Students in grades six through eight have a chance to win an iPod shuffle and an iTunes gift card by bringing 10 boxtops or soup labels to your English teachers.

Both contests end Friday, April 12.

Your assistance in keeping Ada beautiful is appreciated!

Now that the weather has finally agreed with the calendar that it is indeed spring, many residents are ready to start cleaning! That sort of cleaning may result in a large variety, and quantity of unwanted material.

While the Village will not be providing a spring clean up day this year, there are a few tips the Village would like to offer to residents and property owners:

Christmas is officially over in Ada. The downtown holiday banners came down last week.

 

Evil Dead (R) will be showing at Ada Theatre through Thursday, Aprill 18.  

Showtimes are:

  • Friday and Saturday 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday matinees 5 p.m.
  • Every day at 7 p.m.
