The Allen County Educational Service Center and Apollo Career Center will host the annual Allen County College Fair, which will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025, 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m., at Apollo Career Center. This event provides high school students the opportunity to connect with various colleges and universities, providing them with valuable information and resources for those looking at postsecondary options.
The College Fair will feature representatives from a wide range of institutions, including local and regional colleges, universities and trade schools. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact directly with representatives to ask questions about admissions, programs, financial aid, scholarships, and campus life, among other topics.
The Ada Rotary has announced that its 7th Annual “Super Bowl” will be held on April 29 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at Norada Lanes, 1182 State Route 235.
This year's event is dedicated to the memory of Kevin Mierzejewski, 1961-2018.
The event is an evening of fellowship, fun and games including 50/50 raffle tickets. All proceeds benefit Ada Rotary community projects and scholarships.

Take a look at the donations generated by the recent food drive hosted by the OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Ohio Northern. The Ada Food Pantry says, "Many many thanks to everyone who participated in the food drive.... All of you are champions to us!"

Got stuff cluttering up your space? Have a business or make something you'd like to sell? What about a food truck or vendor?
Those questions are being posed by the Ada Alumni Association, which will host its 2nd Annual Community Garage on Saturday, March 29. The event will help support the Alumni Scholarship program and the Ada Sustainability Club.
For persons with Alzheimer's Disease (AD), they may know more about their surroundings and what is said to them than people think. They ought to be treated in conversation just as though they don't have AD, but have awareness and recognize what is being said, even if they don't reflect it. And they, like all of us, appreciate warmth and friendliness.
According to current research, we have 86 billion neurons in our brain. Whether we have dementia in AD or not, some of our neurons are constantly dying, just as cells in our bodies are constantly dying, but new ones are also being produced. There are neurons that transport information to parts of the brain involving memory and reasoning. This part of the brain is like a factory. When certain elements of a factory shut down, confusion and inefficiency occurs. But some of the images stored in this factory in the brain remain, although they may be mysteriously hidden. Sometimes they may surface like the sun breaking through the clouds on a dark day.
