Services set for Ralph “Teed” F. Neiswander

Memorial services Ralph “Teed” F. Neiswander, age 95, will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Deacon Michael Hood officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada, Ohio.  Military services will be conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service, from 11:00 am- 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Seepteber 24, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, Ohio.

He died on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 11:00 p.m. at Birchaven Village in Findlay.

He was born April 11, 1923 in Ada, Ohio to the late Dr. Leo C., MD and Lutie (Freed) Neiswander,  On March 11, 1945 he married Lucille “Soni” Creps and she died April 19, 2009.Also surviving are two daughters: Alice N. (James) Howard of Edmond, Oklahoma and Laura (Mark) Allen of Caledonia, Michigan; a daughter-in-law: Vivian Neiswander of Centerburg, Ohio; 9 grandchildren: Alison Howard, Christopher (Leah) Howard, Kimali Howard, Sarah Allen, Joe (Melanie) Allen, John (Caitlin) Allen, Tom (Stephanie) Allen, Isabelle Neiswander and Michael Neiswander; 16 great grand children Kabe Flynn, Henry Taverner, Charles Tavener, Celia Howard, Augustine Howard, Maddalena Howard, Susanna Howard, Jerome Howard, Dominic Howard, Everett Allen, Willem Allen, Adriana Allen, Julia Allen, Amaya Allen, Rowan Allen, Quincy Peralta and a special cousin, James Neiswander of Ada.

He was preceded in death by his son: Thomas C. Neiswander; 2 brothers: Paul L. and Leland “Clair” Neiswander and one sister: Alice Wolgamot.

Teed worked at the Ford Motor Company in Lima, Ohio as a Section Supervisor for 22 years retiring in 1980.  He was U.S. Navy veteran serving during WW II as an Ensign on a P.T. boat in the South Pacific.  Teed was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ada, a life member of the Ada VFW Post #9381, a life member of the former American Legion Post #185 and a member of the Lima Elks Lodge #54.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman and he loved to play cards.

In lieu of flowers memorial contribution can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ada, 301 North Main Street, Ada, Ohio 45810 and/or Bridge Hospice 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
