Bulldog linksters lose NWC tri match

OTTAWA - The Ada golf team competed in a three-team Northwest Conference match Tuesday at Country Acres Golf Club in Ottawa.
Paulding won the event with 179 strokes, with host Columbus Grove second (186) and Ada third (226).
Ada fell to 2-18 overall and 1-8 in NWC play after the meet. Paulding is 10-4 and 4-3 in the NWC, while Grove is 9-5 and 3-3 in league play.
Brevin Sizemore led the Bulldogs with a score of 51. Ethan Hull carded a 55 and Alex Morgan posted a 58. Austin Amburgey registered a 62.
Rob Allison shot 66 and Jake Colwell added an 87.
Fletcher Cook of Paulding and Owen Macke of Grove tied for match medalist honors with a nine-hole score of 43.
Ada plays next in the Hardin County Invitational at Kenton Memorial Golf Course Saturday, September 1 at 9 a.m.
