Remodeled and merchandise rearrangement
By Monty Siekerman
The inside of the Ada Flea Market, 111 N. Main, has a new look after a remodeling and rearrangement of merchandise since the first of the year.
Owner Dan McCrory invites shoppers to stop by during business hours 9-5 Thursday and Friday and 9-4 on Saturday to see the changes, including new lighting and taking out a small room to open up the space.
The Ada Flea Market is a fun place to shop because merchandise is always changing. You never know what might catch your eye, and the store is full of bargains.
He relates the story about two recent customers. One saw his display of 100 salt and pepper shakers. The man bought them all because his daughter collects them. In another case, a lady inquired about buying his many Boyd Bears. He gave her a deal, and she walked out with two large boxes of the stuffed bears for her collection.
Even with the changes, McCroy still carries new mattresses and new and used furniture as well as glassware, CD music and movies, knives, costume jewelry, antiques, picture frames....too many items to list here. He still sells kettle corn, local honey, and Wolfies Nuts, too.
