Jeannine M Dixon, 1933 - 2018
Jeannine M. Dixon, age 84, died on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:05 p.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on December 27, 1933 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Marshal E. and Boneta M. (Hall) Stoodt. On June 7, 1953 Jeannine married Kennard I. Dixon Jr and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2006.
Jeannine retired as a cashier for the Flying J. Restaurant in Beaverdam and formerly worked at the Bluelick Greenhouse, which in now the Forget Me Not Greenhouse. She was a member of the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church. Jeannine enjoyed bowling and golfing.
She is survived by two sons: Chuck (Yvonne) Dixon and Jim Dixon both of Kenton; two daughters: Linda Dixon of Snohomish, WA and Penny Hoag of Bellingham, WA; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and a brother, Terry (Ann) Stoodt of Bluffton.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Hadley and brother, Edward Stoodt.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor John Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, LaFayette.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, LaFayette and/or LaFayette and Jackson Township Soldiers Monument Restoration Project.
