Samuel Chris Rowold 2004-2018

On the afternoon of Friday, February 23, our precious Samuel (Sam / Sammy) went to sleep in Jesus, waiting His soon return.  He was a victim of an accidental drowning. We are very thankful for God allowing us to have these wonderful Thirteen years with Samuel in our Family. He has taught us very much about Autism. He will be missed.

Samuel was born September 08, 2004 in Bowling, Green, Ohio.  He is survived by his mother, Cristy (John) Hall of Ada, Ohio, and his father, Richard Rowold, Findlay, Ohio. Samuel is also survived by his loving sisters, Marianne and Keziah, and Michele (Matt) Giddens of Ada, Ohio, maternal grandmother, Isidora Jardeniano , Loma Linda California , Uncles: Emmanuel (Merna) Jardeniano, Plainfield, New Jersey, Emilan (Karl) Jardeniano, Loma Linda, California, Esmeldo (Rachel) Jardeniano,  Philippines, Jim (Nancy)  Hall , Ada, Ohio. Aunts: Naomi (Raffy) Mannasian, New York, New York, Joy Jardeniano, Philippines, Kay Hall, Dayton, Ohio, Joanne (Terry) Beard, Cincinnati, Ohio, Miriam Mertens, Phyllis (Al) Herzog,  Columbus, Ohio, Faith (Bill) Edesa, Mars, Pennsylvania., Joyce (Dean) Yates, Findlay, Ohio, Rachel (Marty) Chaplin, Akron, Ohio, Mary (Dan) Lucas, Morgantown, North Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather Osmusdo Jardeniano and Parental Step-Grandparents Harold and Ruth Hall.

Samuel was a very active child even with his autism. He had many favorite hobbies. He enjoyed music, music videos, playing in the water, throwing stones in the water, taking items apart, jumping on the trampoline, swinging, watching the winter Olympics, listening to Bible stories, memorizing short memory verses from the Bible, and riding on tractors.  Even being non-verbal he would try to sing songs with his mother and sisters.  He had attended Simon Kenton School in Kenton, Ohio. He was a member of the Trinity Seventh Day Adventist Church in Defiance, Ohio.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Roy Lawinsky officiating. Burial will be in McElroy Cemetery, Ada. 

 Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28,  and until the time of service on Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.

       Samuel’s family would like family, friends, and anyone, who wants to stop by to share encouragement, or many a story on how Samuel or another Autistic child has made a difference in their life.  We will be happy to listen to everyone. Memorial Contributions may be made directly to Hanson-Neely Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses and or the Hardin County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
