FROM ADA MUSIC BOOSTERS FACEBOOK - Ada High School Winter Guard members have prepared for the 2018 competition season.
This year all three group’s, Winter Guard, Flag Line and Dance Line performances feature Harry Potter themes. The groups will compete in both the OIPA (Ohio Indoor Performance Association) and WGI (Winter Guard International) circuits.
The Ada High School Winter Guard’s show is titled “Conjuring a Patronus.” It takes the audience through the process of learning this “advanced magic,” and ultimately dispersing a gym full of dementors with Harry Potter’s iconic spell.
Featuring flags, wands and broom sticks this year’s program should be an audience favorite.
Members of the Winter Guard are Jake Colwell, Samantha Crawford, Madison Preston, Gizem Tanriverdi, Lindsay Crouse, Madison Wright, Leona Dalton, Jacob Morgan, Daniel Nash, Jacob Bassitt, Kaylee Huffer, Olivia Hiester, Alyssa Wince and Victoria Ross.
“Free the Elves” is the Ada Flag Line’s theme. It continues Hermione’s quest to free the house elves from their masters by presenting them with socks.
Members of the Flag Line are Mitchel Frazier, Olivia Thomas, Tessa Long, Alaina Robirds and Olivia Green.
The Dance Line’s show is titled “Wizard Chess.” It portrays the dangerous game that Harry and Ron had to master to enter the Chamber of Secrets.
Members of the High Dance Line are Paige Seitz, Rylie Roser, Cristina Theis, Jasmine Liembruger, Alaina Nash, Rebecca MacDonald, Kesewa Akyeampong and Theodore Hadley
