ONU women’ 17th in D3 soccer poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team jumped two spots to No. 17 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, and received votes in the D3Soccer.com poll, both released on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Northern (8-1-1 overall) jumped two spots in the United Soccer Coaches poll after posting a 2-1 victory over Mount Union last week.
The University of Chicago took the top spot, while Washington (Mo.) ranked second and the College of New Jersey rounded out the top-3.
In the D3Soccer.com poll, ONU received votes for the second consecutive week.
The University of Chicago ranked first in the poll with 995 points and 14 first place votes, while the College of New Jersey ranked second with 943 points, and Williams (Mass.) rounded out the top three with 900 points.
The Polar Bears return to action on Wednesday evening as they welcome Otterbein to Kerscher Stadium for a 7 pm matchup.
